What is your favorite word? Absolutely. I don’t use it very often, but I love when I hear it as it sounds so positive.
What is your least favorite word? Sorry. I dislike how some people tend to use this word instead of “excuse me”, when they really did not do anything wrong, but perhaps bumped into them. I don’t know how it came about that folks tend to think using “sorry” is appropriate, as it is asking for forgiveness for the wrong reasons.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Any challenge that stimulates my interests turns me on creatively. Meditation bells and yoga calms me to channel my spiritual being. Usually music will bring out my emotional side.
What turns you off? Seeing others take advantage of those without a voice. There are some people with power, status and resources who tend to take from these individuals (either an idea or project) and never give them credit. Sometimes I find out after the fact and I wish I had known about it sooner to have done something about it.
What is your favorite curse word? Our good friend always uses “freakers” instead of a curse word that should not be heard by little ears. We have all sort of all adopted using it, too.
What sound or noise do you love? The sound of the ocean when you are sitting on the shoreline.
What sound or noise do you hate? The beeping noises from the hospital room vital monitor machines.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Fashion Designer. I don’t have much of a fashion sense so knowing what it takes to put together a chic outfit would be insightful.
What profession would you not like to do? Musician. I started taking piano lessons since I was three-years old, but have never had a passion for the instrument. I enjoy playing piano for fun, but if I had to always be on point when performing for others I would always be a nervous wreck.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? I never really thought about this before, but with the recent loss of my mother I have been wondering if Heaven does indeed exist. Perhaps I would want God to say I have arrived at the Pearly Gates, as I know my mother believed that we would all be there, and I would want to be there with her, too.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Last week my daughter decided to wear big girl panties the entire day, not just at preschool, but even at night going to bed. I am ecstatic as I do not have to keep looking for coupons to buy more pull-ups. And as another mom told me don’t give in to the pull-ups even if she asks for them.
What I am looking forward to the the coming week is reuniting my little family with our friends at our daughter’s birthday party.
